Job summary

Aggreko in Dubai, UAE is seeking a Junior Controls and Risk Analyst to support regional internal controls, risk monitoring, and audit coordination. Based in Dubai, you will help strengthen the control environment across the Middle East and drive process improvements.

You will conduct control testing, maintain evidence, manage risk registers, and collaborate with finance teams and stakeholders to ensure effective controls and timely remediation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Internal Controls, Internal Audit, Risk Management, Compliance, Finance Operations, or External Audit.
• Technically capable in Excel and reporting, with Power BI knowledge considered an advantage.
• Analytical with strong problem-solving, organisation and attention to detail, with a focus on high-quality documentation.
• Proactive with a continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify issues and drive process enhancements.
• A confident and strong communicator, able to build relationships and effectively influence internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct monthly internal control testing on key finance processes across the Middle East region.
• Collect, validate, and maintain control evidence, governance documentation, testing schedules, and remediation tracking.
• Manage the Finance Risk Register and monitor key risks with mitigation actions.
• Support internal and external audits by coordinating requests and driving timely closure of findings.
• Drive continuous improvement by enhancing controls and standardizing processes and templates.

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Junior Controls and Risk Analyst based in Dubai, UAE.

In this role you’ll support our Internal Controls and Risk Lead in strengthening and executing regional controls. You’ll support control testing, risk monitoring, audit coordination, remediation tracking, reporting, and process improvement activities across the Middle East region to strengthen the overall control environment.

What you’ll do as the Junior Controls and Risk Analyst:

• Conduct monthly internal control testing on key finance processes including journal entries, reconciliations, SoD reviews, GRNI, intercompany balances, accruals, and fixed asset controls, across the Middle East Region.
• Collect, validate, and maintain control evidence, governance documentation, testing schedules, and track remediation of control deficiencies.
• Manage the Finance Risk Register and monitor key financial, operational, compliance, and system-related risks, ensuring mitigation actions are followed through.
• Support internal and external audits by coordinating requests, maintaining audit trackers, and driving timely closure of findings.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing controls, standardizing processes and templates, and collaborating with finance teams, shared services, controllers, and business stakeholders to strengthen control effectiveness.

You Are
