Job summary

Apex Operations in Saudi Arabia is seeking a reliable Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. You will assist senior chefs with daily food preparation, mise en place, and plating while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

The ideal candidate has basic food preparation knowledge, good teamwork, and a willingness to learn; experience in a fast-paced kitchen is a plus. Immediate joining preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior chefs with daily food preparation and cooking.
• Prepare ingredients such as vegetables, meat, sauces, and other mise en place.
• Follow recipes, preparation methods, and portioning standards.
• Assist with cooking and plating as directed by senior chefs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, kitchen equipment, and storage areas.
• Properly store and handle food ingredients according to food safety standards.
• Monitor ingredient quality and report any damaged or low-stock items.
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures at all times.
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by the Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.
