Job summary

Careem is seeking a Junior Category Executive for the Groceries team to turn large data sets into actionable insights, dashboards, and presentations that guide supplier discussions and executive decisions. You will work with SQL and data tools in a fast-paced Q-commerce environment.

The role emphasizes analytical thinking, data storytelling, and building accessible dashboards for non-technical stakeholders, with a hybrid in-office and remote work setup.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in analytical, commercial, or category role in retail / e-commerce.
• Strong ability to distill large data into clear insights and steps forward.
• Hands-on experience writing SQL queries and building dashboards for decision support.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large volumes of category, supplier, and customer data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Write and maintain SQL queries to extract, validate, and manipulate data for analysis.
• Automate reports and build dashboards for day-to-day performance monitoring of sales, pricing, margins, and stock.
• Design intuitive, self-serve dashboards for stakeholders to track performance without manual effort.
• Create decks for supplier reviews and senior management meetings, highlighting analytics.
