Job summary

Careem in Dubai is seeking a Junior Category Executive to turn large data volumes into clear insights, dashboards, and presentations for suppliers and senior management. You will analyse category, supplier, and customer data using SQL and BI tools, and build self-serve dashboards for day-to-day performance.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in an analytical, commercial, or category role (retail/e-commerce preferred).
• Hands-on SQL experience for data extraction, validation, and analysis.
• Experience building dashboards and self-serve reports for non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong storytelling and presentation skills for supplier reviews and leadership meetings.
• Solid understanding of Q-commerce business model: ads monetization, margins, rebates.

Responsibilities

• Analyse large volumes of category, supplier, and customer data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Write and maintain SQL queries to extract and validate data for category and commercial analysis.
• Automate recurring data reports and build dashboards for day-to-day performance monitoring.
• Design easy-to-use self-serve dashboards for stakeholders to track performance.
• Create decks and presentations for supplier reviews and senior management meetings.
• Support commercial analysis across key Q-commerce levers including margins and rebates.
• Track category performance and flag risks or opportunities to the Category Manager.
• Assist in preparing periodic business reviews with data packs and recommendations.
• Collaborate with category, supply chain, and content teams for data-driven decisions.
