Job summary

dnata is hiring a Junior Cargo Assistant to oversee cargo handling, documentation, and the movement of cargo, courier and mail in a busy operations environment in Dubai.

You will ensure safety, accuracy and compliance across acceptance, loading, and outbound processes, while supporting officials and maintaining high service standards for customers in a dynamic logistics team.

Qualifications

• Have 10 years of schooling or equivalent.
• Have 3+ years of experience in logistics or cargo role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the acceptance and delivery of cargo, courier and mail maintaining a high standard of customer service.
• Oversee the work of porters and equipment operators in the build-up and breakdown of cargo, inspect and verify cargo at each stage to ensure conformance with defined standards.
• Carry out an inventory of goods at the request of customers and record any deviations.
• Record the details of cargo accepted and delivered for tracking purposes, using manual and automated systems.
• Inspect and validate all associated cargo documentation to ensure the safe and efficient acceptance and delivery of cargo.
• Assist and support all officials to ensure the safe and efficient movement of cargo, courier and mail.
• Ensure that dangerous goods are handled in compliance with the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations.
• Ensure that the handling of time and temperature sensitive/pharmaceutical shipments demonstrate compliance with EU GDP requirements.

Junior Cargo Assistant

As a Junior Cargo Assistant in the dnata Cargo Team, you will oversee the physical handling of all cargo, courier and mail and ensure all associated documentation is processed either manually or within automated systems to enable the safe and efficient import and export of cargo.

In This Role, You Will
