Job summary

dnata is seeking a Cargo Agent in Dubai to manage cargo handling, documentation, and customer service across export and import operations. The role involves cooperation with loaders, equipment operators, and authorities to ensure accurate handling and timely data entry in cargo systems.

You will work within a safety-focused environment and handle special cargo while using equipment like tow trucks and forklifts to move loads efficiently.

Qualifications

• Completed O level (10 years of schooling) or Higher Secondary (12 years schooling).
• English level 4 completed.
• 2 years of experience in Logistics and Cargo.

Responsibilities

• Follows departmental policies, processes and SOPs to ensure work is controlled and consistent.
• Complies with safety, quality and environmental policies for a healthy work environment.
• Guides loaders and equipment operators in cargo handling activities including build-up, breakdown, acceptance and delivery.
• Inspects and validates documentation and counts goods at each point of delivery.
• Enters data in cargo systems timely and coordinates with Government Authorities as needed.
• Handles special cargo (dangerous goods, live animals, valuable goods) per IATA standards.
• Operates equipment (Tow Trucks, forklifts) for movement of loads.

If you're inspired by purpose and motivated to be part of a global team shaping the future of aviation and travel, we’d love to have you onboard.As a Cargo Agent in the dnata Cargo Team, you will perform all cargo handling related activities including documentation, customer service, acceptance, delivery, breakdown, build-up, equipment operation and transport to ensure smooth handling of cargo throughout Cargo Operations (Export and Import).In this role, you will:Follows all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.Complies with relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment and discusses safety concerns openly and reports them to the relevant supervisor.Guides and assists the team of Loaders and Equipment Operators in cargo handling activities (build-up, breakdown, acceptance and delivery, documentation of cargo, courier and mail in line with the standards.Inspects and validates against relevant documentation and counts goods at every point of delivery, acceptance, breakdown and build-up to ensure that goods conform to relevant criteria and are dispatched in line with the standard work procedures.Enters data manually or automatically in the cargo systems in a timely manner.Coordinates with Government Authorities such as Customs, Municipality, Health or Police in an efficient and effective manner to ensure smooth movement of all cargo, courier and mail.Handles and loads all special cargo (dangerous goods, live animals, valuable goods, etc) in line with IATA manuals.Performs all related cargo handling activities and operates equipment as required (Tow Trucks, forklifts, etc) for movement of loads.Loads and unloads cargo from ULDs, Aircrafts and Trucks as appropriate in a timely manner.QualificationTo be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:Have completed O level (10 years of schooling) or Higher Secondary (12 years schooling).Have 2 years of experience in Logistics and Cargo.Have completed English level 4.Hold a valid license for operating equipment.You’ll have an edge, if you:Have completed Introductory to Civil Aviation training.Have Cargo Product Knowledge & Documentation.Have Cargo Special Load Handling and Dangerous Goods Handling training.Our services on the ground keep the world in the air.
