Confidential Company in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant with 1–2 years of UAE accounting experience. The role involves recording daily financial transactions, processing invoices, and maintaining accounts payable and receivable with timely follow-up on outstanding payments.

Responsibilities include bank reconciliations, VAT return preparation, document verification, inventory accounting, and support during audits.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process supplier invoices, customer invoices, payment vouchers and receipt vouchers.
• Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable, follow up on outstanding payments.
• Perform bank reconciliations and verify cash transactions.
• Assist in preparing VAT returns and maintain supporting documents in compliance with UAE VAT regulations.
• Verify supplier invoices, purchase orders, delivery notes and related documents.
• Coordinate with Purchase, Sales, Stores and Logistics for accounting matters.
• Assist in inventory accounting, stock valuation and material cost verification.
• Maintain filing and documentation of invoices, receipts, payments and other records.
• Assist with monthly closing, expense reports and preparation of financial statements.
• Support Finance Manager during audits.
• Ensure accounting entries are accurate and completed within timelines.

• Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records and follow up on outstanding payments
• Perform bank reconciliations and verify cash transactions
• Assist in preparing VAT returns and maintaining supporting documents in compliance with UAE VAT regulations
• Verify supplier invoices purchase orders delivery notes and related documents
• Coordinate with the Purchase Sales Stores and Logistics departments for accounting-related matters
• Assist in inventory accounting stock valuation and material cost verification
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of invoices receipts payments and other financial records
• Assist with monthly closing expense reports and preparation of financial statements
• Support the Finance Manager during internal and external audits.
• Ensure accounting entries are accurate and completed within the required timelines.
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties assigned by the reporting manager.
