Qualifications

• 2-3 years experience in accounting or finance
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Experience with ERP/accounting system
• Knowledge of VAT regulations

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and accounting documentation.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Prepare and record journal entries in the accounting system.
• Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and general ledger accounts.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
• Assist with the preparation of financial reports and management reports.
• Monitor and track expenses, invoices, and payments.
• Ensure all financial transactions are recorded in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Assist with VAT filings and other regulatory reporting requirements.
• Support audit activities by preparing required schedules and documentation.
• Maintain organized accounting files and records.
• Collaborate with various departments to resolve finance-related queries.
• Assist in preparing and consolidating budgets for individual business units.

Role Purpose

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and accounting documentation.

Education

• CA (Inter) part-qualified, or ACCA/CMA qualification, preferred.

Experience

• 2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance or experience gained at an audit firm.

Technical Skills

• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Hands-on experience with an ERP or accounting system is required (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Zoho Books, QuickBooks).
• Knowledge of VAT regulations and financial controls is a plus.

Soft Skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
