Job summary

Duncan & Ross Consulting in Dubai is seeking an Architectural Joinery Draftsman to create detailed shop drawings for joinery projects, including residential and commercial work. You will develop 2D and 3D CAD drawings from specs and coordinate with PMs, architects, and engineers to align with project scope and standards.

The role requires 3–5 years in the Gulf, proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, and a solid understanding of joinery methods.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Architectural Drafting, Interior Design, or related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Joinery Draftsman in the Gulf countries.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant drafting software.
• Strong understanding of joinery construction methods and materials.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in the UAE.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed joinery shop drawings for various projects including residential, commercial.
• Develop 2D and 3D CAD drawings based on specifications and project requirements.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, and engineers to understand project scope and requirements.
• Ensure that all drawings comply with industry standards and project specifications.
• Revise drawings as needed based on feedback and changes in project scope.
• Prepare material take-offs and assist in the preparation of bill of materials.
• Conduct site visits to gather measurements and understand site conditions.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure accuracy and quality of the joinery items.
• Maintain and update drawing files and documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of design presentations and client meetings.
