Job summary

PRIME ELECTRICAL CONTRACTING CO LLC in Abu Dhabi is seeking a qualified Permit to Work Coordinator to ensure safe and compliant execution of ADNOC/oil & gas projects. You will manage daily PTW, coordinate with the permit issuer, site supervisors, and HSE teams, and maintain PTW validity for each task.

The role requires ADNOC JP certification, 2–3 years of relevant experience, and strong knowledge of HSE requirements, toolbox talks, JSA/JHA, and risk assessments.

Qualifications

• ADNOC-approved Job Performer (JP) certification is mandatory.
• 2-3 years of relevant ADNOC/oil & gas project experience.
• Daily PTW/Permit to Work procedures experience is mandatory.
• Good knowledge of ADNOC HSE requirements and site safety procedures.
• Knowledge of Toolbox Talks, JSA/JHA, risk assessments and safe work practices.
• Ability to coordinate with Permit Issuers, HSE personnel, supervisors, and site teams.

Responsibilities

• Raise, obtain, and maintain the required Permit to Work (PTW) daily before any work begins.
• Coordinate with Permit Issuer/Authority, Site Supervisor, HSE team and other personnel for daily permit needs.
• Ensure PTW validity for the correct job, location and activity and conduct pre-job safety checks.
• Stop work immediately if permit conditions change or unsafe conditions arise.
• Report progress, incidents, and site issues to the concerned supervisor and ensure proper housekeeping.

Job description

1. Execute assigned work activities safely and efficiently in accordance with approved procedures, method statements, and project specifications.

2. Raise, obtain, and maintain the required Permit to Work (PTW) on a daily basis before commencing any work.

3. Coordinate with the Permit Issuer/Authority, Site Supervisor, HSE team, and other concerned personnel for daily permit requirements.

4. Ensure the PTW is valid for the correct job, location, and work activity.

5. Conduct required pre-job safety checks and toolbox talks before starting work.

6. Ensure all required safety controls, PPE, barricading, isolation, and other precautions are in place before work begins.

7. Stop work immediately if permit conditions change, unsafe conditions arise, or the permit expires.

8. Follow ADNOC HSE rules, site procedures, risk assessments, and approved work instructions.

9. Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, technicians, and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution of work.

10. Report work progress, unsafe conditions, incidents, and site issues to the concerned supervisor.

11. Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure tools and equipment are used safely.

12. Properly close/cancel the daily work permit upon completion of the activity as per site procedures.

13. Support the team in completing work safely, on time, and according to required quality standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. ADNOC-approved Job Performer (JP) certification is mandatory.

2. Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in ADNOC/oil & gas projects.

3. Practical experience in daily PTW/Permit to Work procedures is mandatory.

4. Good knowledge of ADNOC HSE requirements and site safety procedures.

5. Knowledge of Toolbox Talks, JSA/JHA, risk assessments, and safe work practices.

6. Ability to coordinate with Permit Issuers, HSE personnel, supervisors, and site teams.

7. Good communication and teamwork skills.

8. Willingness to work at project/site locations and under site conditions.

9. UAE/Abu Dhabi ADNOC project experience is highly preferred.
