Job summary

ATRIBS METSCON Group is seeking an experienced Java Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications in the banking and financial services domain, located in Dubai, UAE. The role emphasizes Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and Kafka to support high-transaction systems.

Candidate will collaborate with architects, product owners, and analysts to deliver scalable, secure backend solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 7+ years of hands-on Java backend development.
• Strong Java core concepts and OO principles.
• Extensive Spring Boot experience; Spring ecosystem.
• Proven Microservices design and development experience.
• Kafka or event-driven architectures experience.
• REST APIs and integration frameworks expertise.
• RDBMS knowledge (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server).
• Understanding of design patterns, secure coding, and performance optimization.
• Strong debugging, analytical and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java-based backend applications.
• Build and implement microservices architectures using Spring Boot.
• Develop and optimize RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Design and implement event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Ensure application performance, security, scalability, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot production issues and bottlenecks; participate in code reviews.
