Job summary

Hantec in Dubai is seeking a Java Backend Developer to build and maintain REST APIs and microservices. You will work with Java 21, Spring Boot and Vert.x, designing scalable backend solutions and contributing to CI/CD pipelines.

You will design, develop and optimise MySQL databases on Amazon RDS, containerise with Docker, and deploy across AWS and GCP while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable services.

Qualifications

4–7 years of Java backend development experience.
Hands-on with Java 21, Spring Boot and REST APIs.
Experience with MySQL and Amazon RDS.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain backend services using Java 21, Spring Boot and Vert.x.
Build, maintain and document REST APIs using Swagger/OpenAPI.
Develop asynchronous workflows and integrate backend services with systems.
Design, develop and optimise MySQL databases with Amazon RDS.
Containerise applications with Docker.
Support CI/CD pipelines for automated builds and deployments.
Use Git and GitLab for version control and collaboration.
Deploy and monitor backend services across AWS and GCP.
Investigate production issues and implement root-cause solutions.
