Vantari is recruiting an experienced Java Software Engineer in Abu Dhabi to join a high-performance application software team. You will design and develop backend systems for next-generation cellular and secure communications, using Kotlin, Java, Akka, Gradle, GitLab, and Docker.

You will work with Domain-Driven Design, Reactive architectures, and actor-based systems, delivering scalable services. The role operates in Agile multi-disciplinary teams with security clearance eligibility and on-site

Qualifications

• BSc or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field required.
• 10+ years of Java and Kotlin software development experience.
• Experience with backend design for distributed, performance-critical systems.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and develop cellular communication solutions using Kotlin, Java, Akka, Gradle, GitLab, and Docker.
• Design and implement backend systems based on DDD, Reactive architectures, and actor-based systems.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and test suites (unit, integration, E2E).
• Build scalable, message-based, high-performance backend services.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and product managers to deliver robust solutions.
• Contribute to architectural decisions in Agile teams.

About the Role

On behalf of an advanced technology client in Abu Dhabi, we are hiring an experienced Java Software Engineer to join a high-performance application software team. This role focuses on the design and development of backend software for next-generation cellular and secure communication systems, operating in a complex, distributed, and performance-critical environment.

Responsibilities

Research, design, and develop cutting-edge cellular communication solutions using Kotlin, Java, Akka, Gradle, Git Lab, and Docker. Design and implement backend systems based on Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Reactive architectures, and actor-based systems. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, including unit, integration, and end-to-end (E2E) testing. Build scalable, message-based, and high-performance backend services. Collaborate closely with software engineers, system architects, and product managers to deliver robust technical solutions. Contribute to technological and architectural decisions. Work within multi-disciplinary Agile teams, adopting Agile methodologies, tools, and mindset.

Qualifications

BSc or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field10+ years of experience in Java and Kotlin software development
