Job summary

D4 Insight in Dubai is seeking experienced Backend Software Engineers to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade backend services, APIs, and microservices using Java and Spring Boot. You will contribute to secure, scalable banking applications across digital and mobile channels.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in backend development, strong Spring ecosystem expertise, hands-on REST/OpenAPI, and experience deploying to Azure with AKS and App Services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years backend development, including at least 3 years building Spring Boot microservices.
• Strong expertise in Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, and Microservices Architecture.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, and API lifecycle management.
• Experience with Azure services including AKS, App Services, Key Vault, Storage, Application Insights, and Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Strong understanding of design patterns, distributed systems, resilience, and fault-tolerance mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade backend services, APIs, and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build secure, scalable, resilient, and high-performance banking applications.
• Develop RESTful APIs and event-driven services aligned with enterprise API standards and governance frameworks.
• Deploy and support applications on Microsoft Azure using cloud-native services and container platforms.
• Implement OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, API security, encryption, and secure coding practices.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases across enterprise applications.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.
• Support release management activities.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, design reviews, code reviews, and CI/CD implementation.
