CERT is seeking an experienced IT specialist to manage IT operations, strengthen governance, and ensure policy compliance across the organization in the UAE. The role reports to the IT manager and requires leadership in coordinating day-to-day IT activities, audits, and risk management while maintaining robust controls and service delivery.

The ideal candidate has 5-8 years of IT operations and governance experience, strong English (Arabic preferred), and a solid background in policy

CERT is looking for an experienced and proactive IT specialist to join our team and play a key role in managing IT operations, strengthening IT governance, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies, standards, and applicable regulations.

This position is ideal for an IT professional who combines strong technical knowledge, team leadership capabilities, operational discipline, and experience in IT governance and compliance.

Reporting directly to the IT manager, the successful candidate will take ownership of day-to-day IT coordination, supervise operational execution, and ensure that IT services, policies, processes, and controls are effectively maintained and consistently followed.

Key Responsibilities

IT Operations & Team Leadership

• Oversee and coordinate daily IT operations, including infrastructure, technical support, service delivery, and system maintenance.
• Lead, guide, and coordinate IT support and development teams to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks and operational priorities.
• Monitor IT service performance, incidents, service requests, SLAs, and escalations.
• Identify operational risks, recommend improvements, and ensure timely resolution of technical and service-related issues.
• Develop, review, update, and maintain IT policies, procedures, standards, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Ensure IT activities comply with approved internal policies, applicable UAE regulations, contractual obligations, and relevant industry standards.
• Monitor policy implementation and adherence across IT operations.
• Coordinate IT audits, maintain compliance documentation, and follow up on audit findings and corrective actions.
• Support IT risk management, cybersecurity governance, access controls, change management, and business continuity requirements.

IT Management Support & Coordination

• Act as the primary operational support to the IT Manager, ensuring effective execution of departmental plans and priorities.
• Coordinate with internal departments, external vendors, and service providers to maintain operational efficiency.
• Prepare IT performance reports, operational dashboards, compliance updates, and management summaries.
• Track departmental deliverables, maintain action plans, and ensure accountability for deadlines and commitments.
• Support IT improvement initiatives, system implementations, and organizational technology projects.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• 5-8 years of relevant IT experience, including IT operations, team coordination, and governance responsibilities.
• Proven ability to supervise IT teams, manage operational priorities, and drive task completion.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems administration, service management, and technical support operations.
• Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining IT policies, SOPs, compliance documentation, and operational controls.
• Good understanding of IT governance frameworks and information security principles, including ITIL, ISO 27001, and COBIT.
• Familiarity with UAE regulatory and organizational compliance requirements is an advantage.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent command of English is mandatory. Proficiency in Arabic is preferred and considered an advantage.
