Job description

The Inventory Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all inventory-related activities to ensure optimal stock levels accuracy and efficiency across the organization. This role manages inventory control processes leads the inventory team collaborates with cross-functional departments and ensures that inventory practices support business objectives and customer demand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement inventory management strategies policies and procedures to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize shrinkage.

  • Oversee daily inventory operations across all warehouses distribution centers and retail (or production) locations.

  • Monitor inventory levels stock movements and discrepancies to ensure accuracy and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.

  • Lead and manage regular inventory audits cycle counts and reconciliation processes.

  • Coordinate with procurement warehouse sales production and logistics teams to ensure seamless inventory flow.

  • Implement and manage inventory control systems and software (e.g. ERP WMS).

  • Analyze inventory data and generate reports on KPIs such as turnover rates accuracy aging stock and forecasting needs.

  • Train mentor and manage the inventory operations team to ensure high performance and accountability.

  • Identify process improvement opportunities and lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies industry standards and safety regulations related to inventory handling and storage.

Key Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Logistics Business Administration or a related field.

  • 5 years of experience in inventory management logistics or warehouse operations including at least 2 years in a managerial role.

  • Proficiency with inventory management systems (e.g. SAP Oracle NetSuite WMS).

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent leadership communication and team management abilities.

  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

  • Knowledge of lean principles or Six Sigma is a plus.
