Job summary

Fromfolio is seeking an experienced Interior Designer to own the interior design of an assigned automotive program, guiding the theme from development through to a production-ready state while ensuring top quality and craft.

You will lead the interior design process with designers, engineers, and modelers, collaborating with exterior, CAS, and CMF teams to maintain coherence with the overall vehicle direction and show car execution.

Qualifications

• Strong 3D skills, with the ability to work fluently in digital modelling tools and resolve design directly in 3D.
• Experience working on show cars, from concept through to physical build.
• Experience on production cars is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the interior design of the assigned program from theme development through to production, carrying the design through every stage of maturity.
• Develop the selected interior theme into the given vehicle package and resolve it into a production ready design at the highest level of quality and craft.
• Lead and guide the interior design process with designers, engineers, and modelers.
• Propose design changes, ideas, and new directions whenever needed to strengthen the interior.
• Ensure the design meets ergonomic, feasibility, and manufacturability requirements at every stage.
• Give direct feedback to interior designers and modelers, including the specific changes needed to land the right design feeling.
• Work with the exterior team to keep the interior coherent with the overall vehicle direction.
• Work with the CAS modelers and visualization team to mature the design into final design stage.
• Work with the CMF team and suppliers to align material, finish, and execution with the interior intent.
• Work with workshop modelers to check design quality and surface quality on physical models.
• Work with the workshop on the concept car model, developed in parallel, and carry the interior design through on the show car build.
• Share progress, changes, and results with the Lead Designer on a regular basis.
