Job summary

RiDiK seeks a Senior/Principal Integration Architect to lead the integration architecture for a Unified Data Platform within a healthcare environment. You will own middleware architecture, interface design, API integration, and interoperability across EHR/HIS, LIS, RIS/PACS, pharmacy, claims, and HIE platforms.

This role requires hands-on HL7, FHIR, DICOM/IHE expertise, and experience with Mirth/NextGen, IRIS/Ensemble, Rhapsody, MuleSoft, and cloud services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems.
• 10–14 years IT experience with 5+ years as Integration Architect in healthcare.
• Strong hands-on with HL7, FHIR, DICOM and IHE standards.
• Experience with integration platforms such as Mirth/NextGen, IRIS/Ensemble, Rhapsody, MuleSoft, cloud services.
• Knowledge of UAE healthcare data privacy requirements and HIE integrations.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end integration and middleware architecture (ESB, iPaaS, API orchestration).
• Define interfaces, ICDs, data mappings, and interface specifications.
• Design REST/SOAP APIs and API gateway policies with secure access.
• Ensure monitoring, observability and interface-health dashboards.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects and delivery teams to enable go-lives.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior/Principal Integration Architect to lead the integration architecture for a Unified Data Platform (UDP) within a healthcare environment. The role will own the middleware architecture, interface design, API integration, and interoperability across EHR/HIS, LIS, RIS/PACS, pharmacy, claims, and regional/national Health Information Exchange (HIE) platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design the end-to-end integration and middleware architecture, including ESB, interface engine, iPaaS, orchestration, routing, transformation, queuing, retry, and error handling.
• Define integration requirements, interface specifications, data mappings, and Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
• Design and implement healthcare integrations using HL7 v2/v3, FHIR R4, DICOM, and IHE profiles such as PIX/PDQ and XDS.b.
• Integrate with regional/national HIE platforms such as Malaffi, Riayati, or comparable HIEs.
• Design REST/SOAP APIs and API gateway policies, including authentication, authorization, versioning, and throttling.
• Establish integration monitoring, alerting, observability, and interface-health dashboards.
• Ensure secure data exchange using OAuth2/OIDC, mTLS, and encryption in transit.
• Partner with Solution Architects, Data Engineering, Business Analysts, and technical delivery teams to ensure successful integration delivery and testing.
• Support interoperability/conformance testing and production go-live activities.

Required Experience & Skills

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 10-14 years of IT experience, with 5+ years as an Integration Architect in healthcare/health IT.
• Strong hands-on expertise in HL7, FHIR, DICOM, and IHE standards.
• Experience with integration platforms such as Mirth/NextGen Connect, InterSystems IRIS/Ensemble, Rhapsody, MuleSoft, Azure, or AWS integration services.
• Strong API architecture and API management experience.
• Knowledge of DDA guidelines and UAE healthcare data privacy requirements.
• Experience with healthcare HIE integrations is strongly preferred.
• English fluency is mandatory; Arabic is an advantage.
• UAE market availability preferred.

Preferred Certifications

HL7/FHIR certification, TOGAF, or cloud integration certification.
