Job summary

Citi in Dubai is seeking an Insurance Planning Specialist to join its Wealth Advisory team as the primary insurance expert supporting Client Advisors and high-net-worth clients with life insurance and wealth protection solutions.

The role blends deep product knowledge with client advisory and sales, shaping insurance strategy and driving revenue within Citi's private banking environment in the UAE.

Qualifications

• At least 3-5 years of experience selling life insurance products in the UAE.
• Background in wealth management with a sales and product focus.
• Comprehensive knowledge of insurance, investment management, and market trends relevant to high-net-worth client advisory.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with ability to engage and influence high-net-worth individuals.
• MBA or business degree qualification.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Dubai.

Responsibilities

• Act as the insurance subject matter expert for Client Advisors, advising high-net-worth clients on suitable insurance solutions across wealth protection, accumulation, retirement planning, child education, estate preservation, and endowment planning.
• Design and recommend tailored insurance strategies that align with each client's financial goals, risk profile, and long-term planning needs.
• Build and manage an active insurance sales pipeline by engaging prospective clients directly, following through each opportunity to closure independently or alongside Client Advisors.
• Coach and upskill Client Advisors on insurance concepts, products, and sales processes to strengthen team capability and generate qualified referrals.
• Collaborate with the Insurance Product Head and insurer partners to develop new product offerings, client promotions and targeted micro-marketing events.
• Deliver quality after‑sales service to deepen client relationships and generate referral business that expands the client base.
• Identify, escalate, and address compliance and conduct matters in line with insurance sales regulations, anti‑money laundering requirements, and internal governance standards.
