Job description

We are looking for an experienced Instrumentation Designer with 8 to 15 years of expertise in the offshore oil and gas sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of Smart 3D (S3D) software and practical experience working on Saudi Aramco offshore projects. The role involves producing detailed design drawings and documentation for offshore instrumentation systems in alignment with project and client requirements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and update instrumentation design deliverables including instrument layouts cable routing JB layouts hook-up drawings and installation details.
• Develop and maintain instrument index I/O lists cable schedules and loop diagrams.
• Utilize S3D (Smart 3D) to produce accurate and clash-free 3D models for instrumentation systems.
• Coordinate with engineers and other disciplines to ensure consistent and integrated design output.
• Ensure that designs comply with applicable project specifications standards and Saudi Aramco requirements.
• Support design reviews model reviews and interdisciplinary coordination meetings.
• Incorporate redlines and field mark-ups into as-built drawings.
• Assist in resolving site queries related to instrumentation design and installation.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma or Associate Degree in Instrumentation Electrical or related discipline.
• 8-15 years of experience in instrumentation design for offshore oil and gas projects.
• Prior experience with Saudi Aramco offshore projects is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Smart 3D (S3D) is essential.
• Working knowledge of other design tools such as AutoCAD MicroStation or SPI is an advantage.
• Familiarity with international and client-specific standards and specifications for instrumentation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver quality designs within schedule constraints.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills in a multi-disciplinary project environment.
