Job summary
Star Services is seeking an experienced maintenance professional for offshore instrumentation and control systems in the oil and gas sector. The role requires a Diploma in Instrumentation & Control Engineering and a minimum of 7 years' experience maintaining field instruments and control systems.
Contract hire with 30 days leave after 90 days, health insurance, and standard UAE labour-law terms apply. Work hours are long, with 06:30 to 18:30 daily and a 1-hour lunch break, 7 days a week,
Qualifications
- Diploma in Instrumentation & Control Engineering is required.
- Minimum 7+ years' experience in maintenance of field instruments and control systems in Oil & Gas Industries.
Responsibilities
- Conduct calibration and overhauling work for control valves and field instruments, recording data calibration reports.
- Attend to breakdowns and perform corrective actions, ensuring adherence to procedures.
- Carry out preventive maintenance at all plant locations according to defined schedules to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Troubleshoot PLC, DCS, Hydraulic Control, Electro-Mechanical and other controllers of the control systems.
- Conduct testing, maintenance, installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and operation support.
- Check instrument materials for quantity in warehouse for emergencies.
- Assist in equipment start up and commissioning after maintenance to ensure smooth restart of operations.

- Conduct calibration and overhauling work for the control valves and field instruments, record all data calibration report for future references
- Attend to breakdowns and perform corrective actions, ensuring adherence to procedures
- Carryout preventive maintenance activities at all plant locations according to defined schedules to facilitate uninterrupted operations
- Carry out troubleshooting on PLC, DCS, Hydraulic Control, Electro-Mechanical and other controllers of the control systems.
- Conduct troubleshooting, testing, maintenance, installation, inspection, pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and operation support.
- Check all Instrument materials about the quantity for emergency purposes in the warehouse.
- Assists in equipment start up and commissioning after maintenance activity is completed to ensure smooth recommencing of operations.
