Job summary
Star Services is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Control Technician for offshore maintenance in the UAE. The role focuses on calibration, overhauling and troubleshooting of field instruments and control systems to ensure reliable operations.
You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, support start-up activities, and coordinate with plant teams across locations. A Diploma in Instrumentation & Control Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience are required.
Qualifications
- Minimum diploma in Instrumentation & Control Engineering.
- At least 5 years of maintenance experience in oil & gas field instruments and control systems.
- Experience with calibration, overhauling and troubleshooting essential.
Responsibilities
- Conduct calibration and overhauling of control valves and field instruments, documenting calibration data.
- Attend to breakdowns and take corrective actions following procedures.
- Perform preventive maintenance across multiple plant locations to sustain operations.
- Troubleshoot PLC, DCS, hydraulic control and other control system components.
- Support commissioning activities, start-up, and operation tasks as needed.
- Check instrument materials stock for emergency requirements in warehouse.
- Assist in equipment start-up and commissioning after maintenance is completed.

30 days paid leave after 150 days continuous work
06:30 to 18:30 (1-hour lunch break), 7 days a week

Diploma in Instrumentation & Control Engineering
5 years experience in maintenance of Filed Instruments and Control systems in Oil and Gas Industries.
Contract Hire
- 6 months
All other conditions will be as per UAE/ABU DHABI LABOUR LAW
- Conduct calibration and overhauling work for the control valves and field instruments, record all data calibration report for future references
- Attend to breakdowns and perform corrective actions, ensuring adherence to procedures
- Carryout preventive maintenance activities at all plant locations according to defined schedules to facilitate uninterrupted operations
- Carry out troubleshooting on PLC, DCS, Hydraulic Control, Electro-Mechanical and other controllers of the control systems.
- Conduct troubleshooting, testing, maintenance, installation, inspection, pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and operation support.
- Check all Instrument materials about the quantity for emergency purposes in the warehouse.
- Assists in equipment start up and commissioning after maintenance activity is completed to ensure smooth recommencing of operations.
