Job summary

Star Services LLC is seeking an Instrument Technician (Support) for offshore operations in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role focuses on calibration, overhauling control valves and field instruments, and providing start-up and commissioning support across PLC, DCS, and hydraulic control systems.

Minimum Diploma in Instrumentation & Control Engineering and at least 5 years' experience in Oil & Gas maintenance are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Instrumentation & Control Engineering.
• 5 years experience in maintenance of field instruments and control systems in Oil and Gas Industries.

Responsibilities

• Conduct calibration and overhauling work for control valves and field instruments, recording data calibration reports.
• Attend to breakdowns and perform corrective actions to ensure adherence to procedures.
• Carry out preventive maintenance across plant locations to facilitate uninterrupted operations.
• Troubleshoot PLC, DCS, Hydraulic Control, Electro-Mechanical and other controllers of the control systems.
• Conduct troubleshooting, testing, maintenance, installation, inspection, pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up and operation support.
• Check instrument materials quantity for emergencies in the warehouse.
• Assist in equipment start up and commissioning after maintenance to ensure smooth recommencement of operations.
