Job description

At EFS Facilities Services, we are looking for a creative, hands-on and experienced Instructional Design & Digital Learning Specialist to develop engaging, practical and scalable learning solutions for our professional and functional workforce. This role is critical in converting business knowledge, policies, processes, systems and capability requirements into structured digital and blended learning experiences.

Role Overview

The role will be responsible for the end-to-end design and development of eLearning, microlearning, learning videos, facilitator materials, assessments, simulations and other digital learning assets. Working closely with functional SPOCs and Subject Matter Experts, the successful candidate will independently convert business briefs and raw content into complete, professional learning products. The primary focus of this position is instructional design and content development rather than classroom training delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct learning-needs analysis and translate business requirements and capability gaps into clear learning objectives and measurable outcomes
  • Design structured learning journeys across professional, functional, leadership, digital, commercial and business-process topics
  • Independently develop interactive eLearning and microlearning modules using Articulate Storyline, Rise 360 or comparable authoring tools
  • Produce LMS-ready and SCORM-compliant learning content
  • Develop instructional storyboards, facilitator decks, participant workbooks, job aids, infographics, simulations, case studies, videos and assessment materials
  • Convert policies, SOPs, business processes, system workflows and functional knowledge into practical, learner-friendly content
  • Work closely with SMEs and functional SPOCs to gather, validate, structure and obtain approval for course content
  • Create scenario-based, decision-based and simulation-based learning experiences
  • Write clear instructional content, knowledge checks, learner feedback, scripts and assessment questions
  • Create or coordinate learning videos, animated explainers, voiceovers and screen recordings
  • Use Generative AI to support course outlining, storyboarding, instructional writing, scenario creation, assessments, videos and learning-content adaptation
  • Review and validate AI-generated content to ensure accuracy, confidentiality and organisational relevance
  • Conduct instructional, editorial, visual and functional quality reviews before content publication
  • Manage multiple learning-content projects, SME inputs, review cycles, approvals and delivery timelines
  • Maintain organised source files, published versions, development records and content version control
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, Learning and Development, Human Resources, Communications, Multimedia, Business or a related discipline
  • Approximately 4–7 years of relevant experience in instructional design, digital learning, eLearning development, learning-content development or learning experience design
  • Proven experience developing learning content for corporate and white-collar employee populations
  • Hands‑on proficiency in Articulate Storyline and/or Rise 360
  • Strong instructional storyboarding and content-writing capability
  • Good understanding of adult-learning principles and instructional-design frameworks such as ADDIE, SAM or Bloom's Taxonomy
  • Experience working directly with SMEs and business stakeholders
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms, SCORM-compliant content and digital-course publication
  • Strong ability to simplify complex information and convert it into clear, engaging learning experiences
  • Strong visual sense, attention to detail and project-management capability
  • Experience with Canva, Vyond, Camtasia, Synthesia, Adobe Captivate or similar multimedia platforms will be advantageous
  • UAE or GCC corporate experience will be preferred but is not mandatory
Mandatory Portfolio Requirement

Shortlisted candidates must provide a portfolio containing two or three learning solutions personally designed and developed by them. The portfolio should ideally include:

  • One complete eLearning module developed using Storyline or Rise 360
  • One instructional storyboard or course-design document
  • One microlearning module, video, simulation, job aid or infographic
  • Examples of assessments or scenario-based learning
  • A clear explanation of the candidate's individual contribution to each project
