Role Summary

The Inspector - Electromechanical Systems is responsible for supervising on-site electrical, mechanical, and control system installations, ensuring all works meet approved specifications, testing standards, and regulatory requirements while supporting commissioning and handover processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise electromechanical works including electrical systems, mechanical installations, instrumentation, and control systems
• Review shop drawings, method statements, material submissions, inspection plans, and as-built documentation
• Witness factory acceptance tests and site acceptance tests for equipment such as pumps, switchgear, SCADA systems, and ITS devices
• Ensure compliance with standards such as DEWA, Dubai Civil Defence, NFPA, and IEC codes
• Identify non-conformances, report issues, and ensure corrective actions are completed before handover
• Coordinate with authorities including DEWA, Civil Defence, Etisalat, and Du for inspections and approvals
• Support contractors and engineering teams in resolving technical and interface challenges
• Oversee pre-commissioning and commissioning activities ensuring systems meet performance requirements
• Review operation and maintenance manuals, training materials, and spare parts documentation
• Assist in punch list preparation and system performance verification
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, testing, and commissioning activities
• Prepare regular reports highlighting progress, technical issues, and project milestones
• Support evaluation of claims and variation orders related to electromechanical works
