Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Inspector to join our supervision team in Abu Dhabi.

The role focuses on ensuring all electrical installations comply with project specs, local regulations, and international standards throughout the construction lifecycle. The successful candidate will monitor contractor activities, review method statements and submittals, witness testing, and maintain meticulous inspection records.

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant experience in electrical inspection on supervision or consultancy projects.
• Familiarity with local authority requirements (DEWA, ADDC, SEC).
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, QA/QC, and safety standards.
• Able to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Good communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with drawings, specs, and codes (NEC, IEC, local standards).
• Monitor contractor activities for safety and quality.
• Review method statements, ITPs, and submittals.
• Witness and document testing and commissioning.
• Identify non-conformances and follow up on corrective actions.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to resolve site issues.
• Maintain inspection records, logs, and photos.
• Participate in site meetings and provide technical input.
