Emerson in Dubai seeks an Inside Sales Engineer – Projects to provide application engineering, sales and technical support across the MEA region, collaborating with the Flow Controls Sales Team to pursue projects and deliver technical solutions.

The role includes sizing and pricing control valves, preparing quotations, supporting RFQs, and ensuring timely order execution while meeting KPIs and driving business growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 3 years in the control valve industry.
• Fisher Junior Master – Red Belt Certification or equivalent.
• Fisher Fieldvue Champion Certification or equivalent.
• Fluent English, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Provide quotation support for MEA countries and key project opportunities.

Job Summary

The Inside Sales Engineer – Projects is responsible for providing Application Engineering, Sales, and Technical Support to internal and external customers across the Middle East and Africa region. Working closely with the Flow Controls Sales Team, this role supports project pursuits, prepares competitive quotations, delivers technical solutions, and contributes to achieving business growth objectives.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Provide dedicated quotation support for assigned MEA countries and KOB2 project opportunities.
• Support severe service RFQs and special application requirements.
• Perform sizing, selection, and pricing of control valves, severe service products, and related solutions.
• Provide solutions for obsolete and inactive products.
• Support customer-specific technical and commercial requirements.
• Ensure rapid turnaround of KOB3 RFQs in line with departmental KPIs.
• Coordinate with internal teams throughout the Quote-to-Cash process to ensure efficient quotation preparation and order execution.
• Prepare accurate and timely quotations for customers.
• Provide application engineering, technical, and pricing support to customers and sales teams.
• Identify product gaps and opportunities to support future product development initiatives.
• Participate in portfolio reviews and long-term product roadmap discussions.
• Support Local Business Partners and End Users through product capability presentations, success stories, and application reviews.
• Collaborate closely with Sales teams to support customer requirements and business growth initiatives.
• Follow up on quotations and purchase orders to improve conversion rates.
• Coordinate with factories and internal teams to support on-time delivery of products and services.
• Conduct technical presentations on Fisher products and solutions.
• Work with consultants, customers, and end users to secure product specifications and preferences.
• Support customers in updating engineering standards and specifications to drive preference for Fisher solutions.
• Prepare quotation reports, forecasts, and sales support analysis.
• Support troubleshooting activities and participate in site visits when required.
• Coordinate with Project Management, Order Entry, and Customer Order Fulfillment (COF) teams to ensure clean order handovers.
• Ensure compliance with Emerson Ethics and Trade Compliance requirements.
• Stay informed on industry developments, market trends, and product updates.
• Support additional sales and business development activities as required.

For This Role, You Will Need

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the control valve industry.
• Fisher Junior Master – Red Belt Certification or equivalent.
• Fisher Fieldvue Champion Certification or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of control valve products and application engineering.
• Experience with quotation preparation, technical support, and customer engagement.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart

• Advanced knowledge of control valve products, MEA customer specifications, and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of severe service products and applications.
• Understanding of Quote-to-Cash processes and Minimum Initial Bid (MIB) strategies.
• Experience supporting KOB1 and KOB2 projects within the MEA region.
• Experience using Fisher FF2 sizing and selection tools.
• Familiarity with Project Management, Order Entry, and Customer Order Fulfillment processes.
• Knowledge of Midstream, Refining, Oil & Gas processes, and special control valve applications.
• Strong understanding of commercial terms and trade compliance requirements.
• Excellent interpretation skills for engineering drawings, specifications, and P&IDs.
• Ability to make sound technical decisions based on engineering principles and industry standards.
