Job summary

AECOM in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced Engineer - Stakeholder Management to act as the primary liaison between project teams and external authorities. You will orchestrate communication, manage permits, and drive successful delivery for large-scale infrastructure initiatives in the UAE.

The role requires a civil engineering or related degree, 12–15 years of stakeholder management experience, and proven UAE authority coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Urban Planning, or related discipline.
• 12–15 years of professional experience in stakeholder management, authority coordination, or infrastructure project delivery.
• Proven track record coordinating with UAE government authorities, utility providers, developers, and asset owners.
• Substantial background managing roads, utilities, drainage, and major infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing authority approvals, NOCs, permits, testing and commissioning, and asset handover processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and refine the Stakeholder Management Plan, mapping stakeholders throughout the lifecycle.
• Establish and maintain relationships with clients, authorities, utilities, asset owners, developers and contractors.
• Coordinate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and coordination sessions with aligned objectives and timelines.
• Manage authority approvals, permits, NOCs, and submissions with meticulous attention to detail.
• Identify and mitigate stakeholder-related risks and conflicts impacting progress.
• Coordinate utility diversions, tie-ins, shutdowns, and interface activities.
• Monitor stakeholder activities against the project schedule and adjust plans.
• Prepare reports, trackers, and executive summaries for management and client reporting.
• Maintain meticulous records of meetings, approvals, and commitments.
• Coordinate activities related to testing, commissioning, asset transfer, and handover.
• Support asset transfer to operating authorities with smooth handover processes.
