Job summary

Azizi Developments’ infrastructure arm seeks an experienced Draftsman to produce accurate, authority-compliant drawings for roads, utilities and site works in UAE. You will support design development through construction and handover, coordinating with engineers and consultants.

The role requires 5+ years drafting experience, UAE infrastructure exposure, and strong AutoCAD skills; Civil 3D, MicroStation, GIS and BIM tools are a plus. On-site in the UAE with project teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of drafting experience, with at least 3 years on infrastructure projects in the UAE.
• Ability to read and interpret survey data and engineering drawings.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; working knowledge of Civil 3D is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed shop, construction and as-built drawings for roads, utilities and site infrastructure.
• Develop plan/profile drawings, cross-sections, grading and setting-out plans.
• Prepare utility coordination and composite drawings to identify clashes and resolve issues.
• Draft traffic diversion and temporary traffic management drawings.
• Prepare drawings for authority submissions and handover packages.

This position is with Royal Infra Contracting LLC, the infrastructure arm of Azizi Developments, which delivers roads, utilities, MEP networks and earthworks across the group's developments in the UAE.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Draftsman with a strong background in UAE infrastructure projects to prepare accurate, authority-compliant technical drawings for roads, utilities and site infrastructure works. The role supports the engineering and site teams from design development through to construction and as-built handover.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed shop drawings, construction drawings and as-built drawings for infrastructure works, including roads, pavements, earthworks, storm water drainage, sewerage, potable and irrigation water, and utility networks
• Develop plan and profile drawings, cross-sections, longitudinal sections, grading and levelling plans, and setting-out drawings
• Prepare utility coordination and composite drawings (water, sewer, storm water, electrical, telecom, gas, street lighting) to identify and resolve clashes
• Draft traffic diversion and temporary traffic management drawings for site works
• Produce drawings in line with requirements of UAE authorities such as RTA, DEWA, Dubai Municipality, Etisalat/du, Empower and master developers
• Convert survey data and engineer mark-ups into accurate CAD drawings; update drawings as per site changes, RFIs and consultant comments
• Incorporate consultant and authority comments and resubmit within agreed timelines
• Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings to support the QS and planning teams
• Maintain drawing registers, revision control and file management in coordination with the Document Controller
• Coordinate closely with Project Engineers, Surveyors, Site Engineers and Consultants to ensure drawing accuracy and constructability
• Prepare as-built drawings and NOC/handover drawing packages for authority approvals and project closeout

Requirements

• Diploma or ITI in Civil Engineering / Civil Drafting or an equivalent technical qualification
• Minimum 5 years of drafting experience, with at least 3 years on infrastructure projects in the UAE
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; working knowledge of Civil 3D is highly preferred
• Familiarity with MicroStation, GIS or BIM tools (Revit/Navisworks) is an advantage
• Good understanding of UAE authority standards and submission requirements (RTA, DEWA, DM, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret survey data, design drawings and engineering specifications
• Experience with roads, utilities and drainage drawing preparation and utility coordination
• Basic knowledge of quantity take-off from drawings
