Qualifications

• Holds a recognised teaching qualification and relevant degree.

• IB MYP experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality MYP Individuals & Societies lessons.
• Use inquiry-based and concept-driven approaches aligned with the IB MYP.
• Maintain high expectations for student achievement, engagement and behaviour.

• Contribute to collaborative planning and curriculum development within the I&S department.
• Develop students’ critical thinking, research and communication skills.

The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Part-Time MYP Individuals & Societies Teacher to join our Secondary team.

The successful candidate will primarily teach Individuals & Societies within the IB Middle Years Programme, supporting the delivery of a broad, engaging and inquiry-driven curriculum.

We are particularly interested in an adaptable teacher who is comfortable teaching across the I&S curriculum and can develop students’ critical thinking, research, communication and analytical skills through relevant real-world and global contexts.

Experience within an IB MYP environment is highly desirable. Candidates with a specialism in Business, Economics, Humanities, Geography, History or another related I&S discipline are encouraged to apply.

The Successful Candidate

• Is collaborative, flexible and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.

Previous MYP experience is highly desirable, although strong teachers with experience in comparable international or inquiry-based curricula are also encouraged to apply.

Experience in Business or Economics would be an additional advantage but is not essential.
