Job summary

HUMAN-AI-Z Nexus Technology seeks a caring Learning Support Assistant to provide individual and classroom-based support to students with additional learning, behavioral or developmental needs.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, the inclusion/SEN team and parents to help students participate effectively in classroom activities, develop their academic and social skills, and achieve their individual learning goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group learning support to students as required.
• Assist students with additional learning needs, including SEN/SEND requirements.
• Support students in understanding and completing classroom activities and assignments.
• Work closely with the class teacher to implement individual learning and support plans.
• Help adapt learning activities and resources to meet individual student needs.
• Encourage students to develop independence, confidence and positive learning habits.
• Support students with communication, social interaction and classroom participation.
• Monitor and record student progress, behavior and areas requiring additional support.
• Assist teachers with classroom management and learning activities.
• Provide appropriate support during lessons, examinations, school activities and transitions.
• Promote positive behavior and reinforce classroom and school expectations.
• Support students during break times, school trips and extracurricular activities when required.
• Communicate relevant observations and student progress to the class teacher and SEN/Inclusion team.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding student information and records.
