GEMS Education in the UAE seeks an Inclusion Teacher to support students with additional learning needs and ensure access to the curriculum. The role involves collaborating with the Inclusion team, families and other professionals to deliver personalised interventions.

The successful candidate will plan targeted support, monitor progress and share strategies with teachers to foster inclusion in an international school setting.

Qualifications

• Recognised teaching qualification (B.Ed, PGCE, or equivalent) required.
• Bachelor’s degree meeting UAE teacher approval.
• Experience with SEND/SEN or additional learning needs in schools.

Responsibilities

• Identify and support students with additional learning needs.
• Plan and deliver individual and small-group interventions.
• Collaborate with teachers to adapt learning and remove barriers.
• Develop and review individual education plans and personalised learning strategies.
• Monitor progress and use data to evaluate interventions.
• Provide differentiation strategies and inclusive classroom practices.
• Communicate with parents about student needs and progress.
• Work with Inclusion, ELL, counselling and pastoral teams for holistic support.
