Job summary

Safa Community School in Dubai is seeking a committed Inclusion Teaching Assistant to support students across KS3–KS5, with a focus on English and Science. The role involves in-class and small-group support, tailoring learning to access the British curriculum and implementing IEPs where needed.

You will collaborate with subject teachers and the Inclusion team to promote independence, support assessments, and sustain a positive classroom environment in a warm, community‑minded setting.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a UK curriculum environment preferred
• Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs (SEN, EAL)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proactive, flexible and collaborative mindset
• Commitment to inclusion and student wellbeing

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted in-class and small group support in English and Science
• Support students with a range of additional learning needs
• Work closely with subject teachers and the Inclusion team to adapt and scaffold learning
• Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
• Promote student independence, confidence, and engagement in learning
• Support with assessment preparation and coursework where required
• Maintain good order and discipline among students
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to policy/practice
• Collaborate with support teachers in the classroom
• Perform other tasks as directed by the Head of Department
• Stay aligned with UAE initiatives and cultural expectations
