Job summary

Safa Community School in Dubai seeks a committed and enthusiastic Inclusion Teaching Assistant focusing on English and Science to support students from KS3 to KS5. You will work across age and ability ranges, including GCSE and A‑Level, within a proactive Inclusion team to help students access the curriculum and reach their potential.

Qualifications

• Will hold relevant qualifications.
• British curriculum school experience favourable.
• Experience working with students in a secondary school setting (KS3–KS5).
• A strong understanding of Science and/or Mathematics at secondary level.
• Experience supporting students with additional learning needs (e.g. SEN, EAL).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive, flexible, and collaborative approach.
• A genuine commitment to inclusion and student wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted in-class and small group support in Science and Mathematics.
• Support students with a range of additional learning needs.
• Work closely with subject teachers and the Inclusion team to adapt and scaffold learning.
• Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
• Promote student independence, confidence, and engagement in learning.
• Support with assessment preparation and coursework where required.
• Maintaining good order and discipline among the students he/she is teaching.
• Participating in departmental meetings.
• Working as a member of a team in the shaping of departmental policy and practice.
• Carrying out other tasks as reasonably directed by the Head of Department.
