Job summary

Safa Community School in Dubai is seeking a committed Inclusion Teaching Assistant to support students across KS3–KS5, with a focus on English and Science. The role involves in-class and small-group support, tailoring learning to access the British curriculum and implementing IEPs where needed.

You will collaborate with subject teachers and the Inclusion team to promote independence, support assessments, and sustain a positive classroom environment in a warm, community‑minded setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to policy/practice

Safa Community School is seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Inclusion Teaching Assistant with a focus on English and Science, to support students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.

The successful candidate would be expected to work across the age and ability range, from Key stage 3 through to GCSE and A-Level.

General Professional Responsibilities

• Provide targeted in-class and small group support in Science and Mathematics
• Support students with a range of additional learning needs
• Work closely with subject teachers and the Inclusion team to adapt and scaffold learning
• Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs)
• Promote student independence, confidence, and engagement in learning
• Support with assessment preparation and coursework where required
• Maintaining good order and discipline among the students he/she is teaching.
• Participating in departmental meetings.
• Working as a member of a team in the shaping of departmental policy and practice.
• Participating in administrative and organisational tasks in order to ensure the smooth running of the department.
• Keeping up to date with curriculum innovation, participating in arrangements for CPD, contributing to his/her own professional development.
• Working collaboratively with support teachers in the classroom.
• Carrying out other tasks as reasonably directed by the Head of Department.
• Being supportive of UAE initiatives and cultural expectations.

It Is a Requirement That The Successful Candidate

• Will hold relevant qualifications.
• British curriculum school experience favourable.
• Experience working with students in a secondary school setting (KS3–KS5)
• A strong understanding of Science and/or Mathematics at secondary level
• Experience supporting students with additional learning needs (e.g. SEN, EAL)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive, flexible, and collaborative approach
• A genuine commitment to inclusion and student wellbeing
