Job description
Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Immersion Cooling System Engineer with expertise in fluid systems, thermal engineering, and data center infrastructure. This individual will lead the design, development, and fabrication of the primary immersion cooling containers and supporting systems (pumps, heat exchangers, controls, and fluid handling) for Uniquube’s modular AI Data Centers. This role is hands-on, from concept and simulation through to fabrication, testing, and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead design of immersion cooling tanks, manifolds, and containment systems.
  • Specify materials (SS316L, coatings, gaskets, insulation) compatible with proprietary dielectric fluids.
  • Develop thermal management models (heat load 30–80 kW per rack).
  • Integrate pumps, heat exchangers, sensors, and filtration loops.
  • Create fabrication drawings, welding schedules, and QA/QC procedures.
  • Supervise hydrostatic, NDT, and cleanliness testing.
  • Define dielectric fluid specifications and handling procedures.
  • Integrate immersion systems with MEP and modular pod designs.
  • Ensure compliance with UL, NFPA, CE, and Tier certifications.
  • Oversee installation, first fill, degassing, and commissioning at client sites.
  • Train operational staff on maintenance and monitoring.
  • Develop O&M manuals and troubleshooting guides.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Mechanical, Chemical, or Thermal Engineering.
  • 7+ years of experience in data center cooling, fluid systems, or process engineering.
  • Proven track record in immersion cooling, liquid cooling loops, or oil/fluid-based thermal systems.
  • Knowledge of ASME, AWS D1.6, UL, NFPA 75, CE standards.
  • Hands-on experience with tank fabrication, piping, and P&ID diagrams.
  • Familiarity with dielectric fluids (SE/PAO, HFE, fluorocarbons) and material compatibility.
  • Strong vendor management and project delivery skills.
