Role Overview

IGCSE Math Teacher – Secondary in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is a full‑time primary‑secondary education opportunity for a well‑qualified Mathematics teacher with UAE school experience and proven exposure to IGCSE exam preparation. The position requires delivering engaging Mathematics lessons, supporting exam readiness, and contributing to teaching standards within a collaborative school environment.

Salary range: 9,000 – 12,000 AED per month (subject to confirmation by employer).

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics to students preparing for IGCSE examinations using clear, structured, student‑centered methods.
• Prepare daily and weekly lesson plans that support curriculum targets, exam requirements, and student learning needs.
• Develop schemes of work, assessment tasks, revision plans and classroom resources for the assigned year groups.
• Deliver engaging lessons that promote active learning, higher‑order thinking, critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
• Support students in understanding key mathematical concepts, formulas, methods, reasoning techniques and exam‑style questions.
• Monitor student progress through classwork, homework, tests, assessments, feedback and regular performance tracking.
• Identify learning gaps and provide targeted support to improve confidence and academic outcomes.
• Contribute to raising teaching standards by applying effective classroom strategies and reflective practice.
• Manage class teacher responsibilities with a focus on student knowledge enrichment, discipline, attendance awareness and overall academic development.
• Communicate professionally with students, parents, colleagues and school leadership regarding progress, concerns and improvement plans.
• Use IT tools and digital learning resources to enhance Mathematics teaching and student engagement.
• Encourage innovation, independent learning, logical reasoning and positive academic habits among students.
• Work as an active team member within the Mathematics department and wider school community.
• Maintain a safe, respectful and supportive classroom environment.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Mathematics, Education or a relevant subject area.
• Teaching qualification such as B.Ed or equivalent professional education credential is preferred.
• UAE teaching experience is required.
• Proven exposure to IGCSE Mathematics teaching and exam preparation.
• Strong knowledge of Mathematics curriculum delivery, assessment planning, lesson preparation and student progress monitoring.
• Ability to prepare schemes of work, assessment tasks, lesson plans and revision materials.
• Excellent classroom management skills with a student‑focused teaching approach.
• Strong IT skills for classroom teaching, digital learning, presentations and academic communication.
