System Integrators EXPERINCE (not inhouse project)
Senior ICT Systems Integration Engineer – Voice, Security & Networking
Job Purpose
The Senior ICT Systems Integration Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of complex enterprise ICT solutions across multiple external customer environments. The role covers technical discovery, detailed design, implementation, integration, migration, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, customer acceptance, and operational handover.
The position requires strong hands‑on experience working within an ICT System Integrator, Professional Services, Managed Services, or technology‑vendor environment, delivering customer‑facing projects rather than supporting only an organization’s internal IT infrastructure.
The successful candidate will have proven experience delivering large‑scale, multi‑vendor solutions across Voice, Unified Communications, Contact Center, Network Security, Network Access Control (NAC), and Enterprise Networking, including environments supporting more than 5,000 users.
Mandatory requirement:
Candidates must have hands‑on experience delivering implementation and system‑integration projects for multiple external customers. Profiles primarily limited to internal IT operations, in‑house infrastructure support, BAU administration, or maintaining a single organization’s environment will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Discovery and Solution Design

- Understand the customer’s existing environment, technical challenges, integration requirements, and business objectives.
- Translate customer requirements and approved solution architectures into practical implementation designs.
- Review existing customer environments and identify technical dependencies, risks, compatibility issues, and migration requirements.
- Prepare BOQs/BOMs and detailed technical documentation, including HLDs, LLDs, SDDs, implementation plans, Methods of Procedure (MOPs), migration plans, test plans, rollback procedures, and as‑built documentation.
- Ensure technical designs comply with customer requirements, vendor recommendations, security standards, and project scope.
System Integration and Implementation
- Deploy, configure, integrate, and migrate enterprise Voice, Unified Communications, Contact Center, Network Security, NAC, and networking solutions.
- Deliver greenfield, brownfield, expansion, migration, and technology‑refresh projects across different customer environments.
- Integrate multi‑vendor technologies with existing customer infrastructure, applications, authentication platforms, and network services.
- Execute platform upgrades, software upgrades, hardware replacements, lifecycle‑management activities, and complex system migrations.
- Manage technical dependencies between OEM platforms, third‑party applications, customer infrastructure, and legacy systems.
- Perform implementation activities in accordance with approved designs, project plans, change‑management procedures, and maintenance windows.
- Support multiple customer engagements and technical workstreams when required.
Migration, Testing and Customer Acceptance
- Prepare and execute migration strategies, cutover plans, MOPs, validation procedures, and rollback plans.
- Conduct pre‑implementation readiness checks and ensure all technical prerequisites are completed.
- Perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and customer acceptance testing.
- Validate solution functionality, interoperability, resilience, security, performance, and compliance with the approved design.
- Document test results, technical observations, defects, and corrective actions.
- Resolve issues identified during implementation and acceptance testing before customer handover.
- Obtain technical acceptance and sign‑off in coordination with customers, project managers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Troubleshooting and Technical Optimization
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues involving Voice, SIP signalling, Contact Center, Security, Routing, Switching, Authentication, and Enterprise Networking.
- Perform packet‑level analysis, system health checks, performance tuning, log analysis, and root‑cause analysis.
- Troubleshoot integration issues across multi‑vendor platforms and customer environments.
- Work closely with OEM TAC teams, technology vendors, project teams, and customer technical stakeholders to resolve escalated issues.
- Develop corrective‑action plans and implement permanent technical solutions.
- Provide technical support during migrations, planned maintenance activities, critical cutovers, and early‑life‑support periods.
Customer Handover and Project Closure
- Deliver technical demonstrations, knowledge‑transfer sessions, and operational training to customer teams.
- Prepare comprehensive as‑built documentation, configuration records, operational guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Complete formal handover to the customer’s operations or support teams.
- Support project closure by resolving outstanding technical issues and completing required documentation.
- Maintain professional communication with customer stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Ensure a smooth transition from project implementation to BAU support or managed services.
