Job summary

Bateen World Academy, part of Aldar Education, seeks a Teacher of Primary for PYP Maternity Cover in Abu Dhabi Emirate, UAE, starting November 2026. Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Primary Education.
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience.
Experience teaching across a range of abilities.
Experience working in more than one international school.
Experience teaching the PYP or British curriculum.

Responsibilities

Create a positive climate for learning that supports outstanding classroom practice.
Identify clear teaching and learning objectives and establish appropriate targets based on students' prior attainment.
Identify SEN (POD), EAL, and G and T students and address their needs through effective differentiation.
Plan well-structured lessons and learning activities that maintain appropriate pace, challenge, and engagement.
Use assessment for learning effectively to inform teaching and student progress.
Analyze performance data and key indicators to plan differentiated learning.
Make effective use of ICT to enhance learning and progress.
Maintain discipline in accordance with the school's Behaviour for Learning Policy.
Promote high standards of punctuality, behaviour, classwork, and homework.
Evaluate achievement against learning objectives and use findings to improve teaching and learning.
