GEMS International School, Dubai Hills (GIS) seeks an experienced Primary STEM Teacher to deliver inquiry-based lessons within an IB World School. The role requires a degree in education and 3+ years of STEM teaching in an IB environment, with immediate start preferred.

Qualifications

• A certified professional teaching qualification at degree level, such as B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years solid experience teaching Primary STEM, ideally within an IB Curriculum School.
• Experience teaching PYP is preferred but not essential.
• Passion for inspiring young learners through innovative and inquiry-based teaching.
• Availability to start immediately.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based STEM lessons aligning with IB/PYP.
• Create an inclusive, supportive classroom environment and nurture diverse learners.
• Differentiate teaching strategies for EAL, gifted, and students needing extra support.
• Integrate technology and innovative approaches to enhance learning and engagement.
• Assess and communicate student progress using data to tailor support.
• Collaborate with colleagues to design IB-aligned curriculum plans and assessments.
• Contribute to school life through co-curricular activities and community initiatives.
