Job summary

GEMS International School, Dubai Hills (GIS) invites applications from experienced Primary STEM teachers for an immediate start. The role involves delivering inquiry-based lessons, IB-aligned planning, and fostering an inclusive learning environment.

The ideal candidate holds a degree-level teaching qualification (B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent) with 3+ years in Primary STEM and preferably PYP experience. Excellent collaboration and professional growth are encouraged.

Qualifications

• A certified professional teaching qualification at degree level (B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years' solid experience teaching Primary STEM, ideally in an IB curriculum.
• Experience with PYP is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based STEM lessons aligned to IB objectives.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs, including EAL and gifted students.
• Collaborate to design IB-aligned curriculum plans, resources, and assessments.
• Assess and communicate student progress, using data to inform next steps.
• Contribute to school life through co-curricular activities and community initiatives.
