Job summary

Dubai American Academy in Dubai is seeking an outstanding High School IB Business Teacher to join our team starting January 2027. You will inspire inquiry, deliver rigorous IB Business lessons and contribute to our award-winning, internationally minded learning community.

The successful candidate will have IB Business experience at high school level, a Business teaching qualification, and a collaborative, student-centered approach. We offer extensive benefits within GEMS Education.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and interactive IB Business lessons to high school students, following the school's curriculum and educational standards.
• Develop and implement creative and effective teaching strategies to inspire a love for IB Business and foster critical thinking skills.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Ensure continuity in the delivery of curriculum content.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages curiosity and exploration.
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences and maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment opportunities and professional learning.

Skills Description

Successful Candidate

• Hold a Bachelor of Education degree, or an initial degree together with a relevant teaching qualification such as a PGCE, State License, or equivalent specialising in Business.
• Have proven experience teaching IB Business at High School level, ideally within an American or IB curriculum school.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of inquiry-based learning and practical Business instruction.
• Be an excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Build strong relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
• Show a commitment to continually improve their practice and deliver outstanding teaching and learning experiences for their students.
