Job summary

MP DOMINIC AND CO in Dubai, UAE seeks a senior Electrical & Instrumentation engineer with 10+ years in modular technical buildings, ideally Oil & Gas. You will lead design, estimation, and coordination with clients and drafting teams to deliver E&I deliverables.

Requirements include a B.E./B.Tech in Electrical or E&I, extensive experience in modular projects, proficiency in Dialux/Relux, AutoCAD and 3D software, and strong communication and teamwork skills. UAE experience preferred.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics engineering.
• 10 years post-qualification experience in modular technical buildings, preferably in Oil & Gas.
• Experience in modular building industries (oil, gas, petrochemical).
• Proficient with design software such as Dialux/Relux; knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D software.

Responsibilities

• Propose economical solutions meeting client/project requirements.
• Develop timely and cost-effective E&I deliverables as per information specifications.
• Make revisions and resolve client comments.
• Prepare engineering calculations (cable sizing, voltage drop, cable tray sizing, lighting design).
• Design MCT (multi-cable transit) as required; prepare load and cable schedules.
• Review and approve vendor deliverables (GA schematics for MCCs, HVAC, control panels).
• Develop engineering designs per project scope and coordinate with drafting for E&I drawings.

Summary: Graduate in Electrical & Electronic engineering with minimum 10 years post qualification detail design and estimation experience in Electrical & Instrumentation for Modular technical buildings. Minimum Qualifications: B.E/B Tech in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics engineering Minimum Experience: 10 years post qualification experience in Modular technical buildings preferably in Oil & Gas industry

Job-Specific Skills: Experience in Modular Building industries (oil and gas petrochemical etc.).

Design softwares like DialuxRelux ..

Design Optimisation

Knowledge in Autocad/3D Software preferred

Roles and Responsibilities (DETAILED):

• Propose economic solutions meeting the client/project requirements.
• To develop timely and cost-effective E&I deliverable based on client given information specifications.
• Make revisions and incorporate/clarify and resolve comments made by clients.
• Preparation of engineering calculations such as Cable Sizing Calculations /Voltage Drop Calculations / Cable Tray Sizing Calculations / Lighting Design Calculations etc. as required for each project
• MCT (Multi cable transit) design as required for project.
• Preparation of deliverables like load schedule cable schedule. for the project
• Review and approval of vendor deliverables like GA schematics for MCCs HVAC control panel F&G control panels
• Design and Develop engineering designs in accordance with the project scope and provide inputs to drafting team for preparation of drawings such as EIT equipment layouts drawings Lighting Layouts small power Layouts Cable Tray Layouts Earthing layouts MCT Layouts Fire & gas location layouts. etc. as per the projects deliverables list.
• Review of Electrical Instrumentation HVAC Telecom and F&G /Fire Suppression Systems drawings/Documents.
• Design and selection of equipments/instruments suitable for project Hazardous area requirements.
• 3D model review
• Explain the deliverable to construction team and provide construction support as necessary.
• E&I Estimation for the bids and coordination with stakeholders to gather all the required information for right estimation
• Coordination with Projects team for smooth running of the project.
• Attend daily weekly project meetings. internal and with client
• Any other responsibility as deemed necessary
