Job Description:
Avanceon is a leading provider of Industrial Automation and Process-based Skids solutions, committed to delivering high-quality engineering services and innovative solutions to our clients. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Hydraulic and Instrument Testing & Commissioning Technician to join our dynamic team in UAE Avanceon factory and site commissioning role.
Responsibilities:
1. Testing & Commissioning of WHCP:
• Perform hydraulic and pneumatic testing of Wellhead Control Panels (WHCP), ensuring proper function of control circuits, valves, and actuators.
• Verify all instrumentation is calibrated and installed per project specifications.
• Conduct loop checks and simulate control logic to confirm system responses.
2. Accumulator Charging & Hydraulic Systems:
• Perform nitrogen charging of accumulators to the specified pressure levels using approved procedures.
• Ensure cleanliness, leak-tightness, and safe operation of hydraulic systems.
• Troubleshoot and rectify any hydraulic performance issues during commissioning.
3. Commissioning of Chemical Injection Skids:
• Execute functional checks on pumps, dosing lines, instrumentation, and associated controls.
• Verify interlocks, alarms, and safety features in accordance with control logic and datasheets.
• Coordinate with process and automation teams for seamless integration.
4. Instrument Functionality Verification:
• Carry out testing and calibration of field instruments (pressure, flow, level, and temperature transmitters).
• Perform loop checking, signal testing, and sensor verification using multimeters, HART communicators, etc.
• Document as-found and as-left conditions, ensuring compliance with commissioning protocols.
5. Site Support & Issue Resolution:
• Work closely with engineering and QA/QC to resolve any site-based issues related to hydraulic or instrumentation systems.
• Assist with punch list clearance and ensure systems are ready for start-up.
6. General Commissioning Support:
• Support final pre-commissioning and commissioning activities including flushing, leak testing, and pressure testing.
• Maintain accurate test records, calibration certificates, and commissioning logs.
• Follow all site safety rules and participate in toolbox talks and risk assessments.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Testing & Commissioning Technician, preferably in oil & gas or similar heavy industrial settings.
• Strong understanding of WHCP, Chemical Injection Skids, and hydraulic control systems.
• Familiarity with accumulator charging procedures and nitrogen handling.
• Hands-on experience with instrumentation testing and loop checking.
• Capable of reading and interpreting P&IDs, loop diagrams, and technical datasheets.
• Good troubleshooting and communication skills.
Education and Certifications:
• Diploma or Technical Certification in Instrumentation, Mechanical, or related field.
• Relevant commissioning or safety training (e.g., H2S, PTW, LOTO,) is an advantage.
• BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training) and HUET (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training) certifications are advantageous.
• OEM or vendor training certificates for WHCP or chemical skids (preferred).
