Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a senior Civil Works professional to lead construction and commissioning for HV substations. You will manage sites, coordinate scheduling, and supervise teams across UAE and potentially abroad, ensuring compliance with permits and safety standards.

The role requires 8 years of civil works experience, English communication proficiency, and a proven ability to work under pressure in an international context. Expect mobility within the UAE and international assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in civil works (Engineering/Architectural/Civil or equivalent).
• 8 years' experience in Civil Works construction site activities in HV substation business.
• Prior Civil Works experience in UAE HV substations civil aspect or international experience.
• Knowledge of scheduling and subcontractor management in civil works building field.
• Ability to work in an international context.
• Good oral/written communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of NOC, COC, and all permit processes in UAE.
• Computer literacy including Excel and MS Project.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
• Ability to work under pressure with consistently good performance.
• Willingness to mobilize within UAE and/or abroad.
• Ability to multitask while maintaining good performance.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction, building, and commissioning activities at customer sites
• Oversee site mobilization, civil works, erection, and commissioning work
• Plan and execute departmental operations or professional activities within the technical discipline
• Manage or support construction and commissioning teams
• Handle staffing and performance development responsibilities
• Execute policy and strategy using technical knowledge and analytical thinking
• Propose solutions for complicated manufacturing processes and interdependent production cycles
• Act as a resource for less experienced colleagues
• Lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements
• Explain information and build team consensus
• Convey performance expectations and handle sensitive issues
