Job summary

Reach British School, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, is seeking an outstanding Humanities Teacher for August 2026. Qualifications

  • Minimum two years’ full-time teaching experience in the UK or in a British Curriculum school.
  • Excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum for England and current assessment practices.

  • Experience using data systems, student tracking, intervention strategies and reporting.
  • Commitment to outstanding teaching and learning.
  • Confidence in using IT and digital tools to enhance learning.

The role

Reach British School seeks an outstanding, enthusiastic, adaptable and dedicated Humanities Teacher for August 2026. The successful candidate will be passionate about History, Geography and Social Studies and committed to delivering engaging, well-structured lessons that develop students’ critical thinking, enquiry and analytical skills. Preference will be given to candidates with a History specialism. The post holder will provide effective, personalised feedback in line with school policies on Teaching & Learning and Assessment.

Key responsibilities

  • Accurately assess formative and summative work, use data to inform planning and provide systematic personalised feedback.
  • Complete reports in line with the school’s Assessment and Reporting Policy.
  • Integrate SMSC development, global awareness, citizenship and enterprise within planning.
