Job summary

El Sewedy Power UAE Business Group is seeking a Senior HSE Engineer to ensure compliance with TAQA, ADOSH/ADPHC, and project HSE requirements at site in Abu Dhabi. You will implement the HSE Plan, perform risk assessments, PTW management, and lead safety inspections, toolbox talks, and audits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years of UAE HSE experience in construction, infrastructure, power, electrical or utility projects.
• Experience with TAQA/Abu Dhabi utility projects and UAE HSE legislation.
• Proven ability to lead investigations and manage HSE performance for subcontractors.

Responsibilities

Description

• Ensure full compliance with TAQA, ADOSH/ADPHC, and project HSE requirements at site.
• Implement and maintain the Project HSE Plan, procedures, risk assessments and PTW requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety observations, audits and toolbox talks, and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
• Monitor electrical, lifting, excavation, work at height, confined space, scaffolding and other high risk activities.
• Lead incident and near miss investigations, identify root causes, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor and control subcontractor HSE performance, ensuring compliance with approved HSE requirements.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports, statistics, KPIs and performance updates, and coordinate with the client and project management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant UAE HSE experience in construction, infrastructure, power, electrical or utility projects.
• Proven experience in power transmission, distribution, substations, electrical networks, and associated civil works.
• Experience working on TAQA / Abu Dhabi utility projects.
• Strong knowledge of TAQA HSE requirements, ADOSH/ADPHC requirements and UAE HSE legislation.
