Job summary

Al Shirawi Group in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Health, Safety and Risk professional to lead HSE initiatives on site and drive safety excellence across operations.

You will conduct risk assessments, implement robust control measures, review permits, manage subcontractors, and investigate incidents to prevent recurrence. A relevant degree and NEBOSH IGC are required, with knowledge of Hindi and regional language.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH IGC certification is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Health, Safety and Risk or related field.
• Knowledge of Hindi and regional language.
• Compliance with health standards and crisis management skills.
• Experience with accident investigation and prevention.

Responsibilities

• Prevent ill health, injury and accidents at the workplace.
• Develop risk assessments and implement controls at work site.
• Control subcontractors and report OH&S performance.
• Conduct risk assessments and monitor corrective actions.
• Implement permit to work system and issue permits for critical activities.
• Review safety requirements through daily safety walk around and report to HSE manager.
• Manage subcontractor selection, training and control.
• Review subcontractor performance for safety standards.
• Conduct consultation and participation programmes.
• Inspect to measure effectiveness of control measures.
• Investigate accidents and incidents and prepare FIRs.
• Analyze corrective actions and review processes after control measures.

Job description

• Prevention of ill health, injury and accidents at work place.
• Periodical review of HSE plans and implementing controls at work site.
• Control of subcontractors and reporting their OH&S performance.
• Risk assessments and corrective action monitoring.
• Taking corrective actions on OH&S findings.

Responsibility:

• Developing risk assessment based on site conditions
• Develop control measures to take action on risks
• Conduct risk assessment based on changes and ensure tool, box talk
• Review safety requirements through daily safety walk around and report to HSE manager
• Implement permit to work system and issue permits for critical activities
• Management of subcontractor through proper selection, training and control
• Review of sub contractors performance on upholding safety standard
• Conduct consultation and participation programme
• Conduct inspection to measure effectiveness of control measures
• Conduct accident and incident investigation and prepare FIR and investigation
• Conduct Corrective Action analysis and review the process performance after implementation of control measures

Education Qualification / Certifications:
