Job summary

Elmar Marinas LLC is seeking an HSE Engineer to ensure adherence to health, safety and environmental standards at our Dubai site. You will monitor safety conditions, conduct risk assessments and lead incident investigations while coordinating with project teams to implement corrective actions.

Responsibilities include enforcing safety guidelines, delivering training, and maintaining compliance with ISO standards. This role requires NEBOSH IGC and strong communication across stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or diploma required.
• NEBOSH IGC is required.
• First aider/Fire warden training preferred.
• MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Comply with health and safety requirements to guarantee employee safety.

Job description

• Comply with the implementation of company policies procedures in order to ensure that all relevant procedural and legislative requirements are fulfilled.

• Comply with all relevant health and safety requirements, in order to guarantee employee safety and eliminate risk

• The HSE officer is responsible for monitoring and assessing and unsafe situation.

• Developing measures to assure personnel safety

• Correct unsafe acts of condition through the regular line of authority. May exercise emergency authority to prevent or stop unsafe acts when immediate action is required.

• The HSE OFFICER maintains awareness of active and developing situations.

• Ensure there are safety messages in each incident action plan. Participate in planning meeting to identify any health and safety concern inherent in the operations daily work plan

• Review the incident action plan for safety implications.

• Investigate accidents that have occurred within incident areas.

• Ensure preparation and implementation of site safety and health plan inspects the site to ensure it is a hazard-free environment.

• Conducts too box meeting.

• A HSE Officer is part of the project safety and leads all efforts to enhance safety.

• Verifies that all tools and equipment are adequate and

• Enforces safety guidelines.

• Trains and carries out drills and exercises on how to manage emergency situations.

• Conducts investigations of all accidents and near-misses.

• Reports to concerned authorities as requested or mandate by regulations.

• Conducts job hazard analysis

• Establishes safety standard and polices as needed.

• Watches out for the safety of all workers and works to protect them from entering hazardous situation.

• Responds to employee’s safety concerns.

• Coordinates registration and removal of hazardous of waste.

• Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery etc.)

Experience - Roads, bridges, Quay walls, Rock Revetments, Temporary Jetty,

• Civil constructions,

• Port/harbour construction,

• quay wall construction,

• dredging Construction/reclamation,

• dewatering filter cake and coarse material.

HSE Engineer minimum qualification requirement

• Qualification – Engineering degree or Diploma

• NEBOSH IGC

• First aimer/Fire warden and other

• Computer skill outlook, MS Word, Excel. and power point.

• ISO 45001 & ISO 14001.
