Job summary

Hydropower Energy is seeking an experienced HSE leader for a fast-track ADNOC brownfield project in Ruwais. You will provide HSE leadership across management, engineers and subcontractors to ensure full ADNOC compliance and safe execution.

The role requires 10-15 years of HSE experience, NEBOSH Diploma, and a track record in civil/infrastructure projects within live facilities. Full-time on-site assignment with extended hours and shift flexibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years HSE experience, including ADNOC brownfield exposure.
• NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 6 or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the HSE plan and ADNOC compliance procedures.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Role Purpose

Provides overall HSE leadership and assurance for theproject and ensures full implementation of ADNOC brownfield requirements acrossall contractors and work fronts.

Project Context

Site based role for a fast track ADNOC brownfield project inRuwais involving bulk civil works, including right of way preparation,excavation and trenching, access road preparation, berm construction, gradingand compaction, and associated culvert works.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the project HSEplan, bridging documents, emergency arrangements and ADNOC complianceprocedures.
• Provide HSE leadership to project management,engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and the site HSE team.
• Review and approve HSE inputs to methodstatements, task risk assessments, lifting plans, excavation plans, trafficplans and permit supporting documents.
• Establish controls for underground services,live facility interfaces, excavations, heavy plant, lifting, heat stress,environmental risks and simultaneous operations.
• Coordinate with ADNOC HSE, operations, AreaAuthorities, project management and subcontractor leadership and chair projectHSE meetings.
• Plan and lead audits, inspections, managementwalkthroughs, assurance reviews and compliance campaigns and ensure timelycloseout of findings.
• Manage incident and near miss notification,investigation, root cause analysis, corrective actions and lessons learned inaccordance with ADNOC requirements.
• Verify competence, approval and deployment ofHSE personnel, Job Performers, equipment operators and other safety criticalpositions.
• Ensure inductions, toolbox talk programmes,welfare controls and mandatory brownfield safety equipment are effectivelymaintained.
• Exercise stop work authority and advise theProject Manager on HSE risks that may affect execution or mobilization.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, OccupationalHealth and Safety or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of overall HSE experience,including at least 5 years of ADNOC brownfield experience in a senior HSE role.
• NEBOSH Diploma, NVQ Level 6 or equivalentadvanced HSE qualification is required; professional membership is preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership experience on civil,infrastructure, earthworks or excavation projects within live oil and gasfacilities.
• Strong knowledge of ADNOC HSE managementsystems, permit to work, SIMOPS, emergency response, incident investigation andcontractor assurance.
• Approval by the applicable ADNOC operatingcompany, where required, must be obtained before mobilization.

Employment Conditions

• Full-time site assignment in Ruwais for theduration of the project.
• Must be able to work within a fast-trackprogramme, extended site hours and shift arrangements when required.
